Kim Kardashian’s New Scent

Question overheard in an all male office conversation (true story): What do you think Kim Kardashian smells like? My favorite answer was “Money.” After giggling and snickering at all the Reggie Bush sex innuendos, it turns out that we’ll all be able to know soon enough. The first of two perfumes will be released exclusively at Sephora around Mothers Day. Hot on the heels of Shoe Dazzle, money might be the right answer after all. At least I’ll know what to get the guys for our Swanky secret Santa.

The initial collection is comprised of four sizes: 1 oz. for $32, 1.7 oz. for $45, 3.4 oz. for $65. Also, for those of us who like to touch up after the gym it comes in a cute little roll on for under ~$16.

Holy smokes Batman! This is serious stuff. I scooped some out from the jar and rubbed the concoction all over my hands. At first I questioned the silky smooth result (considering how hard the salt was exfoliating my skin). After rinsing the shea butter absorbed into my skin and – BAM! – my hands were the softest they’ve ever been. Finish with a hand cream or just call it a day. Read part two

Directions: Rub gently and let the salt exfoliate, while the shea butter moisturizes. Rinse off the excess salt and dry your hands. Your hands will feel silky smooth in just a few seconds.

While the packaging says “with fragrance of vanilla, musk, and lemon balm,” all I smell is the Shea butter. Sure if you inhale hard enough, you will get hints of the other ingredients. While I’m a fan of the restorative properties of Shea butter, I’m not crazy about the smell. But this product is so impressive; I’m willing to overlook it. Now if only a hand massage and manicure came along with the product, I’d never step foot in a parlor again. Until then …

Lancôme Imanance Moisturizure

To all the late-night bartenders, cubicle warriors, partiers, and new mommies out there: let me just start by saying you’re welcome. This Lancôme moisturizer is definitely one of the things you need for your oshitimrunninglate makeup bag (along with a rosy blush, icy eyeshadow, thickening mascara, lip gloss and gum – of course), but I digress. Here in the Swank office, we only get what’s know as an L-C-D tan. So when we discovered this phenomenal find, it may as well been handed to us directly from [insert-famous-makeup-artist-here].

It not only has SPF 15, but also four perfect tint options natural enough to blend smoothly even on a freshly washed face. Which, admittedly, is sometimes done in the employee restroom five minutes ’til we’re supposed to log in.
