Papaya Art Stationary & Card Stock

Home & Garden October 2009 | 0 Comments

Papaya Roll with itPapaya Happy Birthday you rascalPapaya Halloween GreetingsPapaya started in 2003 as a mother and daughter team with only 20 blank greeting cards on a dining room table. Fueled by the need to create beautiful artwork on anything they could think of, they were off and running and never looked back. Today their team has grown and their product list has grown, but everyone is still family. Water bottles, calendars, journals – maybe even a shower curtain – everything is branded with the creativity and thoughtfulness that is uniquely Papaya. We definitely know where our cards will be from this season.

Lancôme Imanance Moisturizure

Beauty October 2009 | 0 Comments

lancome-imananceTo all the late-night bartenders, cubicle warriors, partiers, and new mommies out there: let me just start by saying you’re welcome.  This Lancôme moisturizer is definitely one of the things you need for your oshitimrunninglate makeup bag (along with a rosy blush, icy eyeshadow, thickening mascara, lip gloss and gum – of course), but I digress.  Here in the Swank office, we only get what’s know as an L-C-D tan.  So when we discovered this phenomenal find, it may as well been handed to us directly from [insert-famous-makeup-artist-here].

It not only has SPF 15, but also four perfect tint options natural enough to blend smoothly even on a freshly washed face. Which, admittedly, is sometimes done in the employee restroom five minutes ’til we’re supposed to log in.

Vintage Boot-cut Jeans

Fashion October 2009 | 0 Comments

missme-vintage-stitch-jeansKiller jeans rank super high on our ever expanding list of needs wants. So when one of our favorite shops let us know of their new arrivals, we didn’t hesitate to clickity-click our way through the check out line.

Form fitting and flattering (a nice combo indeed) the vintage, wide-stitch, boot cut seemed to call our name. With tons of washes, cuts, embellishments and stitching options, you will definitely be MISSing out if you don’t at least consider getting a pair (or two) soon.

New Apple Product Updates Today

Technology October 2009 | 0 Comments

mac miniWe switched to a Mac less than six months ago, and couldn’t be happier. It took about two days to figure everything out, but we honestly can’t imagine having to switch back. From burning DVD’s to editing this article, everything is just… easier. No, seriously. We decided to take the leap in a smaller way, by picking up a Mac Mini. This little guy isn’t much bigger than a stack of about five CD cases, is whisper quiet and even environmentally friendly. We’ve linked to all the updates you’ll need below.

Position of the day playbook

Entertainment Health & Living October 2009 | 0 Comments

position of the daySome things were meant to be tried at home. Here’s a position per day for the whole calendar year – complete with details; and no room (or furniture) has been spared when compiling this playbook. Rocking chairs & pull-up bars make the list, as well as the good ol’ fashioned bed. Did we mention the detailed illustrations?

John Mayer – you’re not so bad

Entertainment October 2009 | 0 Comments

John Mayer - Getty ImagesWe’ve never been able to get in to the whole John-Mayer-is-a-walking-god thing. Maybe it’s the weird faces he make when he plays. I don’t know. At any rate, his stock just went up in our book and we’re pondering changing our opinion. This Vulture interview from the Elle Decor-sponsored Armani/Casa party Wednesday night is just great. Although we take issue with the “world-renowned blues legend” title they gave him – I think the poise of the interviewer more than makes up for it.
